Physics Teacher Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Secondary School Physics Teacher to join our team in the Maidstone area.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about physics and able to deliver engaging, insightful lessons that inspire students to explore the fundamental laws of the universe.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver high-quality physics lessons aligned with the curriculum.
  • Prepare students for examinations, including planning and marking assignments, and providing constructive feedback to enhance learning.
  • Supervise and conduct practical laboratory experiments, ensuring safety protocols are adhered to and that lab equipment is managed effectively.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students, offering personalized support and guidance where necessary.
  • Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to support academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the science department to continuously improve teaching strategies and curriculum development.
  • Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student performance and progress.
  • Attend professional development sessions to stay updated on the latest teaching methodologies and subject knowledge.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, such as science clubs or physics-related events, to enrich students' learning experiences.
