We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for managing the credit control function for our clients in the skincare industry.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee Daily and Monthly Duties: Ensure timely and accurate processing of credit control activities, including debit notes, query resolution, and reconciliation.
- Hands-on Credit Control: Manage high-profile clients and customers, handling complex credit control issues and resolving disputes.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and guide a team of two credit controllers, establishing ambitious objectives and conducting regular feedback and development sessions.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with customers, other departments, and external agencies to identify and resolve issues, ensuring seamless credit control processes.
- Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review month-end reports, calculating bad debt provisions and overseeing revenue recognition processes.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements across the AR function, collaborating with the Group Financial Controller to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strong Credit Control Background: Proven experience in credit control, preferably in retail or FMCG.
- Team Management: Previous experience managing and developing an AR team, with a strong focus on leadership and development.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel, including Sumif, Pivots, and Vlookups, with experience in SAP S4/HANA highly advantageous.
- Adaptability and Attention to Detail: Ability to work under pressure, with a strong attention to detail and a flexible approach to changing business demands.
