About Our Client

Our Client is a modern boutique law firm seeking a seasoned Private Client solicitor to lead their department in the Uxbridge office. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the Management Board to drive the firm's growth and achieve the department's strategic objectives.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Private Client and the ability to build their own workload independently. They will be responsible for day-to-day management of the department, including monitoring and distributing matters, supervising fee-earning work, and managing support services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day management of the department, including monitoring and distribution of matters
  • Supervision of fee-earning work undertaken by junior members of the team
  • Management of support services for the team
  • Maintaining orderly and up-to-date files, including electronic files, and complying with the company's file management policy
  • Completing time records and other management records required by the company
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, including Lexcel compliance
  • Financial control, including managing the cash flow for the team through efficient billing and payment procedures
  • Performing fee-earning work accurately, reliably, and in accordance with the firm's quality and risk procedures
  • Building the business and leading the department's marketing efforts
  • Knowledge and comprehensive understanding of the legal market to support business development decisions in line with the firm's requirements
