We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Teaching Support Assistant to join our team at Teaching Personnel. As a Teaching Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in a 1:1 setting.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support children with Autism, complex needs, and Severe to Profound Multiple Learning Difficulties (SLD/PMLD) in a 1:1 capacity
  • Assist the class teacher with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities, as well as monitoring and assessing children's achievement and progress
  • Actively participate in a wide range of activities, promoting the physical, cognitive, cultural, social, and emotional well-being of the pupils
  • Engage with children through play-based and sensory-related activities

Requirements:

  • Experience working in education and supporting children with SEND
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
