Risk Management Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Risk Analyst to support our 2nd line of defence Risk team at Ultimate Banking. As a Risk Analyst, you will play a crucial role in embedding credit and financial risk management frameworks to ensure they are robust and up-to-date.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the maintenance, development, and enhancement of regular reporting routines to ensure accurate and timely risk data.
- Prepare risk analysis reports for relevant stakeholders and committees, providing actionable insights to inform business decisions.
- Present risk data and intelligence in a clear and effective manner, using data visualization tools to drive insights.
- Interpret data, analyze trends, and communicate findings to stakeholders, identifying areas of emerging risk.
- Support the embedding of a robust risk management framework, including risk management and policy reviews, to be monitored on a regular basis.
- Undertake detailed analysis of Credit Risk portfolio performance to identify areas of emerging risk and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with various business units, including IT, to create and automate tools for Prudential Risk Projects.
- Build and improve existing MI and analytical reporting tools to enhance our understanding of current trends.
- Strengthen Credit Risk capabilities by incorporating new data sources in Credit Risk oversight.
- Proven analysis skills with advanced Excel skills, including Data, Power Query, Tables & Formatting, and VBA.
- 1+ year of experience in a risk management or data analytics role, with a strong understanding of credit risk and prudential risks.
- Experience of producing insightful analysis from data sets, with a focus on driving business decisions.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in a quantitative field, such as Finance, Accounting, Maths, Science, Computer Science, or Economics.
- Strong technical understanding of credit risk and broader prudential risks, with knowledge of the prudential regulatory framework.
As a Risk Analyst at Ultimate Banking, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, with a competitive salary package up to £48k, dependent on experience. We are open to both junior and senior candidates with relevant experience and skills.
