About the Job

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our mental health services team, you will be responsible for providing and supervising the provision of mental health and evaluation services to residents at our juvenile justice facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial and exit screenings and evaluations
  • Coordinate and evaluate assessment services
  • Participate in on-call rotation
  • Provide clinical supervision and training

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in psychology
  • Considerable knowledge of adolescent development and psychopathology
  • Knowledge of psychodiagnostic assessment, psychopathology, crisis intervention, and psychotherapy
  • Ability to assess levels of clinical competencies and develop such competencies in subordinate clinical staff

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in conducting psychological evaluations and providing psychological services in an institutional setting
  • Experience providing clinical and administrative supervision
  • Certification by the Department of Health Professions as a sex offender treatment provider (CSOTP)
