About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our Clinical Management Centre team at the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing business support, leadership, and general office management to deliver a high-quality, comprehensive Outpatient Booking service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide business support and leadership to the team, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality Outpatient Booking service.
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the team, including personnel administration and maintenance of building(s).
  • Deal with visitors to the department and patients via the telephone, providing excellent customer service and support.
  • Work collaboratively with the Multi-disciplinary teams to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Supervise and allocate work to staff in lower bands, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Escalate issues to the Department Lead or Service Manager as necessary, ensuring that problems are resolved promptly and effectively.

  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of business administration and personnel management, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective way.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
