We are seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join our team at findapprenticeships.co - Jobboard. As a Workshop Engineer, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of customer-owned and fleet trucks on site.
Key Responsibilities:- Undertake the repair and maintenance of customer-owned and fleet trucks on site.
- Ensure all Company issued tools and safety/protective equipment are kept in a satisfactory condition and report any deficiencies immediately.
- Maintain the quality of workmanship at the prescribed level.
- A Mechanical Engineer or Fitter with experience of repairing and maintaining vehicles, such as Forklift Trucks, FLT s, Plant Vehicles, Material Handling Vehicles, HGV s, Coaches, Buses, or similar vehicles.
- Ideal candidates will have at least a relevant qualification or apprenticeship in Vehicle repairs, such as Forklifts, HGV, MHE, PSV, or any Automotive industry. Experienced Plant Technicians or Engineers will also be considered.
- A competitive salary of £28,000 to £32,000 (dependent on experience/qualifications) + Overtime + attractive pension scheme.
- Overtime is available depending on workload, paid at time and a half of the normal hourly rate. Saturday AM work is also available at time and a half (not compulsory).
- Take half an hour lunch instead of a full hour, which counts as 30 minutes overtime at time and a half when done.
We are committed to providing our employees with the necessary training and support to excel in their roles. If needed, training will be given on-site.
