About the Position

Join our Asset & Technology division as a Lifting Operations & Training Assessor, where you will engage in impactful work that is vital to our organization and the broader community.
In a dynamic and expanding environment, you will oversee all aspects of Plant & Lifting Operations across various sites and venues throughout the UK, including our premier Plant and Lifting Training Centers.
Your Responsibilities
As a Lifting Operations & Training Assessor, your role will include:
- Providing training, evaluations, and assessments to the highest standards, both internally and externally, across all programs and accrediting bodies to ensure compliance with all standards, criteria, procedures, and practices.
- Evaluating candidates through diverse methods for NVQs.
- Formulating suitable training plans that adhere to company, stakeholder, and legal requirements.
- Designing and delivering effective plant/lifting and safety training programs in line with the training plan's specifications.
- Creating Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Assisting in ensuring compliance with any internal or external audits.
- Supporting the delivery of specific HSES training as needed.
Candidate Profile
Essential Qualifications:
- NPORS Instructor/Examiner qualifications in Lifting categories (Slinger Signaller, Crane/Lift Supervisor, Overhead Cranes, etc.).
- SSSTS, SMSTS, or Managing Safely IOSH certifications.
- Workplace Trainer qualifications (City and Guilds or equivalent L Units).
- Experience in a construction site setting.
- A robust operational background in Lifting Operations.
- Proficiency in developing and creating training materials.
- Experience in drafting Method Statements and Risk Assessments.
