About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Care and Support Officer. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people in our care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of a safe and supportive living environment that promotes the well-being and development of children and young people.
- Work collaboratively with children and young people, their families, and carers to understand their needs and provide individualized support.
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each child or young person.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to children and young people, helping them to build confidence and reach their full potential.
- Work effectively as part of a team to ensure the smooth operation of our residential care services.
Requirements
- 3 National 4s or equivalent qualifications.
- Ability to undertake HNC and SVQ3 or other relevant qualifications that demonstrate academic achievement equivalent to or above SCQF Level 7.
- Experience of working with children and young people, particularly those with disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including sleeping-in shifts.
