About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our team at Hays Technology in Glasgow. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in importing and maintaining master product data, including pricing and technical information, to ensure our clients have all the necessary information to make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Audit and optimize large data sets to improve business functions, including improving client search experiences and ensuring internal reports are based on accurate and complete information.
  • Perform complex pricing analysis to calculate and communicate the impact of pricing changes.
  • Proactively identify, understand, and communicate the consequences of data quality issues and implement measures to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Engage in our ETL project, helping create and maintain data pipelines, and supporting the automation and efficiency of our processes.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a data analysis or equivalent role.
  • Excellent analytical skills and expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail, including when working under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, with experience in translating complex data sets into simple and concise language.
  • Experience in working collaboratively with other stakeholders to define data or reporting requirements and understand outputs.
  • Competence in SQL to retrieve data and build custom reports.
  • Experience with ETL and Python is an advantage but not essential.

We are undergoing a Power BI implementation from scratch, providing a fantastic opportunity for junior analysts to gain first-hand experience in this area.
