Actio Engineering Recruitment is seeking a skilled CNC Cylindrical Grinder to join our client's team in Durham. Our client is a forward-thinking subcontract manufacturer producing components for various industries, including Aerospace, Defence, and Oil & Gas. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC Cylindrical Grinders with Studer controls, ensuring machines run smoothly and efficiently. Key responsibilities include using gauges and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements, maintaining a clean and organized work area, and possessing excellent knowledge of Studer Grinders. The ideal candidate will have experience with grinding wheel and tool selection, dressing techniques, and working to tight tolerances. Rotating shifts are available, with morning and afternoon shifts Monday to Thursday and Friday. The salary is up to £18p/h plus a 20% shift allowance, with overtime available when required.
