Electromagnetic Compatibility Specialist

Seismic Limited is seeking an experienced EMC Engineer to join our team in Chard, Somerset. As an EMC Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our products meet international regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical guidance and support to our compliance team, ensuring seamless collaboration and effective communication.
- Coordinate and manage test programs with external suppliers and testing organizations, ensuring timely and accurate results.
- Work closely with the R&D team to ensure new products meet regulatory requirements, facilitating a smooth approval process.
- Lead a small team of Specialist Engineers/Technicians, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Develop and implement effective planning and reporting tools to ensure compliance testing activities run smoothly.
- Collate and analyze data for inclusion in technical files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist in the management of the certification library of approved products, ensuring up-to-date and accurate information.
- Identify and communicate compliance risks and issues effectively, ensuring timely resolution and mitigation.
- Contribute to the development of training modules and deliver guidance to internal teams, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
- Strong understanding of EMC testing and challenges, including emissions and immunity on domestic and commercial products.
- Previous experience in a product compliance/regulatory role, with a relevant Electrical or Electronic engineering discipline or significant experience in a similar role.
- Good understanding of domestic and commercial product compliance to international standards, including EN, IEC, UL/CSA, and FCC.
- Experience operating or working in an EMC SAC/FAC chamber.
- Experience in internal auditing and management, including ISO 9001 and 17025.
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and clearly communicate requirements.
- Understanding of electrical and electronic engineering fundamentals.
