Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Production Planner to join our planning and logistics team. This role is crucial for coordinating and optimizing production schedules across various product lines, ensuring the timely and efficient manufacturing of finished products for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed capacity plans to facilitate proactive manufacturing area planning.
  • Coordinate workflows for multiple product lines to maximize efficiency.
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure optimal performance and minimal delays.
  • Provide comprehensive visibility of upcoming activities across the site.
  • Lead daily and weekly planning meetings to maintain momentum and productivity.
  • Integrate changes into the Master Production Schedule and supply plans.
  • Act as a primary liaison with internal stakeholders for forecasting manufacturing samples.
  • Oversee job tracking to ensure timely completion within budget constraints.
  • Address any issues promptly to minimize disruptions in production.
  • Compile and submit performance and status KPI reports regularly.
  • Facilitate effective communication and execution of tasks through group planning meetings.
  • Conduct 'what if' analyses based on operational needs and maintain capacity analysis tools.
  • Manage external service provider expectations regarding planning activities.
  • Control material usage at external manufacturing organizations, ensuring alignment with planning and supply chain functions.
  • Support the department in fostering a culture of energy, enthusiasm, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor capacity and utilization through regular planning meetings.
  • Encourage a strong work ethic among team members to uphold professionalism and clear communication.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management in line with company needs.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a cross-functional role within a regulated industry.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to prioritize critical tasks effectively.
  • Background in complex manufacturing, engineering, quality control, quality assurance, logistics, or supply chain management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems; experience with APS systems is a plus.
