Newport Norse is a successful collaboration between Norse Group and Newport City Council, dedicated to providing exceptional cleaning services throughout the region.

We are in search of a skilled Facility Cleaner for the Newport Central Library & Museum. Your primary role will be to maintain a clean, secure, and well-kept environment by performing various cleaning tasks as needed.

  • Uphold exemplary cleanliness standards.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the Area Supervisor.
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service.

This role is offered on a part-time, permanent basis, requiring 23 hours of work per week, with shifts scheduled from Monday to Thursday, 6:00 am - 10:00 am, and Friday to Saturday, 6:00 am - 9:30 am.

We provide comprehensive training for those new to the industry; however, we prefer candidates who possess:

  • Prior experience in a cleaning or janitorial role.
  • Familiarity with relevant health & safety regulations, including the use of appropriate equipment and cleaning products.
  • The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, with comfort in engaging with the public and clients.
