In light of their growth, they are looking for a seasoned Electrical Design Engineer to become part of their dynamic team.



ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Electrical Design Engineer will be tasked with the design and development of electrical systems for solar photovoltaic (PV) and electric vehicle (EV) installations, in addition to commercial and industrial infrastructure projects.

Utilizing industry standards and best practices, the Electrical Design Engineer will produce technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports for each assignment.

This role involves collaboration with fellow engineers, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure the quality, safety, and efficiency of the electrical design and installation processes.

Occasional site visits and inspections will be required, along with staying informed about the latest technologies and regulations in the industry.

The Electrical Design Engineer will play a vital role in the company's innovation and growth by delivering high-quality electrical solutions that align with client expectations.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design and develop electrical systems for solar PV and EV installations, as well as commercial and industrial infrastructure projects.
  • Create technical drawings, specifications, calculations, and reports for each project.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections as necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineers, contractors, clients, and stakeholders to ensure quality and safety in electrical design and installation.
  • Stay updated on the latest technologies and regulations in the field.
  • Assist Sales, Contracting, and Operations & Maintenance divisions with technical designs.
  • Communicate effectively with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.



CANDIDATE PROFILE:

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in electrical engineering and design, with a minimum of three years of experience in the field.

Key qualifications include:

  • In-depth knowledge of solar PV and EV systems, along with commercial and industrial infrastructure applications.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities, with the capacity to work independently and under pressure.
  • Proficiency in various software tools for electrical design and engineering, such as AutoCAD and Trimble.
  • A keen interest in renewable energy and sustainability, coupled with a passion for innovation and excellence.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • Chartered Engineer status or progress towards it.
  • Health & Safety qualification.
  • Project Management Qualification.
