About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our dynamic Neighbourhood Services Team at Bolton Council as a Neighbourhood Care Operative. This is a temporary contract opportunity that requires a passion for outdoor work and a commitment to maintaining the beauty of our cemeteries and open spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strimming and mowing cemeteries and open spaces to ensure they are kept in pristine condition
  • Assisting with the removal of litter and emptying litter bins
  • Undertaking various grounds maintenance duties, including maintaining shrub and flower beds
  • Performing pedestrian grass cutting when required
Requirements
  • Physical fitness to undertake all aspects of the job
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions
  • Excellent customer care skills
  • Flexibility to meet the needs of the service
  • Availability to work overtime if necessary
  • An appropriate driving licence (pre-1997 or LGV licence would be advantageous)
What We Offer
  • A competitive daily rate starting from £12.25
  • A temporary contract from August 19, 2024, to November 1, 2024
