About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Devonshire Appointments. As a key member of our finance department, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Senior Management Team and site department Managers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely month-end reporting, including supporting commentary, to ensure informed decision-making.
  • Analysis and Insights: Produce monthly reports and analysis for the site, including GL cost reports, to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Financial Systems: Experience with finance systems, ideally Business Central, to manage and analyze financial data.
  • Customer Profitability: Analyze customer profitability to inform business decisions and optimize revenue streams.
  • Finance KPIs: Contribute to the development of Finance KPIs to measure performance and drive improvement.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Ensure accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliation to maintain financial integrity.
  • Fixed Asset Management: Manage fixed asset additions and disposals to optimize asset utilization.
  • Debtors Review: Review and manage debtor accounts to minimize bad debt and optimize cash flow.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecasts to ensure accurate financial planning.
  • External Audit Support: Support the external audit process to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize business processes.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Qualified Management Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with stakeholders at various levels of seniority and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills to manipulate multiple data sources and deliver detailed analytics.
  • Business Systems: Experience with Business Central or similar finance systems.
  • Soft Skills: Self-motivated, able to work autonomously, prioritize workload, and maintain a high level of organization.
  • Commercial Awareness: Strong commercial awareness and ability to challenge the status quo.
