This is an exciting opportunity to head up the legal function of this hyper-scaling Energy business based in London.

The company aims to transform the heavy industry and transport sectors by providing innovative energy solutions that are both economically viable and environmentally friendly. Their approach focuses on reducing carbon emissions and enhancing energy security in industries that are traditionally dependent on fossil fuels.

The team works collaboratively from their office in London, supporting the business's equity and other fundraising efforts, including preparing documents such as information memorandums, investment agreements and share subscription agreements - as well as engaging with financial advisers, brokers and other key advisers.

The role will involve managing litigation and employment law matters, and maintaining supplier contracts. You will also cover complex regulatory issues including ITAR and ECI.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee corporate governance and manage regulatory issues
  • Handle contract negotiations for joint ventures and maritime projects
  • Manage litigation and employment law matters
  • Maintain supplier contracts
  • Support the business's equity and other fundraising efforts

Requirements:

  • 7-12 PQE
  • In-House Energy sector experience
  • Extensive background in Commercial/Corporate law
  • Knowledge of UK/US Commercial Law
