About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chartered Accountant to join our team in Woking, Surrey. As a Newly Qualified Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work with a broad range of clients across the charity and not-for-profit sector, providing a wide range of accounting outsourced services and advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of Charity and Not-for-Profit clients, providing accounting services and advice.
  • Work closely with the senior management team to provide excellent client service.
  • Oversee the preparation of management accounts, statutory accounts, VAT returns, and supporting year-end schedules.
  • Visit client sites to support in-house bookkeepers and provide other advice and assistance.
  • Delegating appropriate work and providing support and supervision as required.
  • Design and set up management reports tailored to client requirements.
  • Arrange, prepare, and run client meetings.
About You
  • Recently Qualified ACA or ACCA (up to 3 years) with relevant experience in an audit or accountancy practice.
  • Motivated to develop and progress your career within Practice.
  • Experience in management / statutory accounts preparation.
  • Ability to multi-task and service a portfolio of clients effectively and efficiently, achieving deadlines while understanding the commercial implications of productivity and client service.
  • Good knowledge of Xero / Sage 50 / Sage 200 or other accounting packages (desirable).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including advanced Excel.
  • A genuine interest in not-for-profit businesses and/or social enterprises with some previous experience in this sector is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to prioritise work and work to tight deadlines.
