About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated MRI Assistant to join our Radiology team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As an MRI Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Radiologists and Radiographers in delivering high-quality patient care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for MRI scans, ensuring they are comfortable and informed throughout the process.
  • Assist patients during their time in the MRI department, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Manage patient queries and appointments efficiently, ensuring a smooth workflow in the department.
  • Collaborate with Radiographers to maintain an efficient daily worklist, prioritizing tasks and ensuring timely completion of scans.

Requirements

  • Level 1 in Maths and English
  • NVQ Level 3 in Healthcare Care or equivalent experience
  • Ability to demonstrate person-centred care
  • Able to describe behaviours and skills of a carer
  • Previous experience of working with the public
  • A team player able to work well with others and demonstrate commitment to team objectives
