Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Proposal Specialist to join our Custom Projects Team at Gerrell & Hard. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in crafting high-quality bid responses for bespoke projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the bid response process to ensure timely and high-quality submissions
  • Develop and maintain a knowledge base of standard answers and templates
  • Continuously seek ways to improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of our bid submissions
  • Collaborate with various teams and senior stakeholders to ensure client needs are met
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to communicate project scope and timeline to customers

The Role:

  • Bid Writing and Coordination: Compile, edit, and proofread commercial proposals containing technical content and designs
  • Review and revise documents prepared by others to ensure high-quality submissions
  • Lead and coordinate the bid preparation process to ensure contributors provide timely and high-standard information

Requirements:

  • Degree qualified (not essential) with a proven background in an Engineering or Technical environment
  • Proven writing experience in a technical authoring field, ideally with a background in Engineering
  • Strong technical awareness, including an understanding of internet/network-based solutions
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and guide less experienced personnel
  • Substantial experience using MS Office, including Word and PowerPoint
  • Exceptional communication skills, particularly in written English (grammar, spelling, and vocabulary)
