Position Overview

Senior Procurement and Supplier Management Advisor

Remote with occasional client site visits across the UK

Compensation: £90,000 - £95,000 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Annual Leave: 28 days (inclusive of public holidays)

Option to purchase an additional 5 days of leave each year

Performance Bonus: Non-contractual, with an On-Target Earnings (OTE) potential of 15-20%

As a Senior Procurement and Supplier Management Advisor, you will spearhead client-facing initiatives across all sectors of the Procurement and Supplier Management domain. You will establish yourself as the primary resource for sourcing, contracting, and supplier management issues, earning the trust of our clients as a reliable advisor. Your role will involve leveraging your expertise to evaluate our clients' operational efficiency, process maturity, and control frameworks, providing actionable recommendations for enhancements and efficiencies. Key areas of experience required include: Tendering processes, Commercial Negotiation, Contract Oversight, and a solid understanding of Governance and Regulatory frameworks, approached with a risk-aware and practical mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute consulting projects within agreed timelines and budgets
  • Foster and sustain robust relationships with client stakeholders, ensuring high levels of satisfaction
  • Oversee and coordinate complex or multiple client projects, acting as the main consultant and point of contact for all daily project matters
  • Guide and mentor junior consultants within the organization
  • Identify and develop consulting opportunities within assigned accounts, contributing to or leading the creation of client proposals
  • Assist the account management team in uncovering new opportunities within the client landscape

Required Qualifications:

  • Approximately 10 years of experience on the client side, supply side, or within a consulting environment
  • Extensive background in IT Outsourcing, Procurement, and Supplier/Vendor Management
  • Proven track record in leading Sourcing/RFx processes and contract negotiations
  • Operational experience in managing and overseeing significant outsourcing agreements
  • In-depth knowledge of regulations and legislation affecting Sourcing, including but not limited to PRA, FCA, DORA, ECB, and CBI
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing Supplier Management governance frameworks
  • Evidence of delivering at least two major transformation projects with significant, measurable outcomes, each valued over £10 million.
