Maintenance Engineer

Position 1 Recruitment is seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's food manufacturing site in Thetford. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of automated machinery, minimizing downtime, and maximizing productivity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate to a high degree of Health & Safety and good housekeeping standards
  • Ensure compliance with HSE protocols, including Permit to Work, Risk Assessment, Method Statement, Safe System of Work, and Standard Operating Procedures
  • Carry out small projects and modifications as required, including electrical installations and PLC system troubleshooting
  • Assess breakdowns quickly and act accordingly
  • Develop and implement maintenance SOPs, and conduct PPM inspections and maintenance
  • Perform corrective maintenance repairs and general maintenance tasks, including lubrication schedules

The successful candidate will have a strong mechanical background and be confident in sharing proposals for improvements across the site. If you are a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Engineer looking for a new challenge, please apply.
