Job Title: Junior People Business Partner

At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions Ltd, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior People Business Partner to join our team. As a key member of our People function, you will play a vital role in building and maintaining trusted relationships with stakeholders, driving business outcomes, and delivering exceptional employee experiences.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have experience working in the private sector, with a proven track record of managing stakeholder relationships, employee relations cases, and data-driven decision making. You will be confident in your ability to work with data, solve problems, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders to drive business outcomes and deliver exceptional employee experiences.
  • Hold regular reviews with stakeholders to review their people, covering all elements of the colleague experience.
  • Work with other teams within the People function, including Recruitment and Learning & Development, to deliver business outcomes.
  • Complete talent reviews with stakeholders, agreeing actions and proactively monitoring progress of these.
  • Deal with succession planning for key roles and maintain a focus on colleague engagement.
  • Support with upskilling of managers and managing employee relations cases.
  • Support with new store openings and closure processes, and deal with TUPE processes.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a similar generalist HR/People role.
  • Proven experience of managing employee relations cases, including complex cases.
  • Experience of working within a highly customer-centric or retail environment.
  • Confidence in working with data and data-driven decision making.
  • Natural curiosity and ability to solve problems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to make impact and build effective relationships.
  • Ability to collaborate, persuade, and influence.
  • Assertive, resilient, and tenacious with ability to work well under pressure and overcome setbacks and changing priorities.
