Taylor Stevenson is excited to share an opportunity with a prominent client in the interior lighting sector, renowned for over three decades of excellence and innovation.

As part of their ongoing growth and development, they are seeking a CNC Machinist to enhance their team at their main facility.

This is a full-time role with working hours from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM from Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM on Fridays.

The compensation for this position ranges from £32,000 to £34,000, complemented by a competitive performance bonus and overtime pay at a rate of 1.5 times the standard rate.

Given the bespoke nature of the products, the machining process involves low-volume production with a focus on custom orders, primarily utilizing brass materials.

The company operates XYZ Machines equipped with ProtoTrak controls, and comprehensive training will be provided upon commencement of employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machinery for tasks including turning and milling, with minimal manual operations.
  • Interpret and analyze technical drawings to ensure precise production outcomes.
  • Conduct inspections of finished products to verify quality and compliance with specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including regular checks and cleaning.
  • Engage in processes related to plastic injection molding.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • A minimum of one year of experience in milling, turning, and manual machining.
  • Proficient in operating various machining tools such as mills, lathes, and grinders.
  • Experience working with brass materials.
  • Basic mathematical skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
  • Meticulous attention to detail to ensure the production of high-quality components.
  • Familiarity with CNC programming is a plus, though not mandatory.
