Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Engineering Program Manager to join our client's Power Systems team. This role is integral to the delivery of electrical, automation, and autonomy products tailored for Naval and Commercial Marine clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Effectively manage and deliver technical solutions that align with all program responsibilities.
- Oversee the development, commitment, communication, and daily management of a comprehensive program plan.
- Assist in business resource planning activities by providing resource forecasts for designated work scopes.
- Maintain engineering work packages to ensure effective control and governance of status, technical delivery, and proactive risk identification and mitigation, adhering to quality standards.
- Provide program and technical management support to the engineering team, ensuring compliance with all functional engineering policies and processes throughout the lifecycle of each work package.
- Schedule gated reviews for all technical work packages in a timely manner.
- Promote a strong commitment to Continuous Improvement and Lean methodologies.
- Report progress against integrated plans, highlighting issues and identifying priority actions with clear critical path analysis.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders, serving as the primary contact for all aspects related to the assigned work packages.
- Manage technical risks associated with both internal and external environments, escalating as necessary in accordance with business and project governance.
Candidate Requirements:
- A degree-level qualification in Electrical Engineering and/or Project Management or equivalent industry experience.
- Relevant domain knowledge to effectively manage diverse engineering work packages, including proficiency in Microsoft Project.
- Demonstrated leadership in successfully delivering technical projects/tasks within time, cost, and quality parameters.
- Extensive experience in managing technical work packages or projects of increasing complexity.
- Understanding of product change control processes, including PCB, DDRAM, IPPR/PPAP, and Product Introduction Lifecycle Management.
- A solid foundation of knowledge and experience in the technical skills necessary for managing engineering work packages.
