Audit and Accounts Senior

Clark Wood is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audit and Accounts Senior to join their team in Manchester. As a leading specialist accountancy practice recruitment consultancy, Clark Wood is dedicated to providing exceptional service to their clients and candidates.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audit and accounting, with a proven track record of leading audit assignments from planning to completion. They will be responsible for preparing and reviewing year-end financial statements, corporate tax returns, and managing a team of junior staff.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike. They will be a team player, with a collaborative and supportive approach to working with others.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead audit assignments from planning to completion, ensuring high-quality results and timely delivery.
- Prepare and review year-end financial statements, corporate tax returns, and other financial documents.
- Manage a team of junior staff, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with relevant industry developments and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve audit and accounting processes.
Requirements:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in audit and accounting within a practice environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., CaseWare, Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
