Job Summary

The Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced ENT Specialist to join our team as a Senior Locally Employed Doctor in Rhinology. This is a 12-month fixed-term post that offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our Consultants, nursing staff, and allied health professionals to provide a clinical service in ENT, specializing in the delivery of the Rhinology Service across Manchester Royal Infirmary and University Hospital South Manchester.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide a clinical service in ENT, specializing in the delivery of the Rhinology Service
  • Work closely with Consultants, nursing staff, allied health professionals, and the wider ENT team
  • Conduct outpatient clinics (4 per week)
  • Participate in theatres (4 sessions per week)
  • Contribute to research and continuing professional development (2 sessions per week)
  • Perform ward duties
  • Manage administrative tasks
  • Engage in teaching and audit activities

Requirements

  • Medical degree
  • Four years of postgraduate training, with at least two years in an ENT specialty training program or equivalent
  • MRCS or equivalent
  • Experience of audit
  • Distinctions or prizes during undergraduate training
  • Research and publications
  • Excellent interpersonal, organization, communication, and team working skills
  • Full registration with a license to practice with the General Medical Council
