At Daniel Owen Ltd, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Building Services Supervisor to join our team. This is a full-time permanent role with a competitive salary of up to £50,778.

The Role:

  1. Will report to the Operations Director.
  2. Supervise the mechanical/electrical/building trade staff and specialist contractors.
  3. Ensure the immediate and proper allocation of work, and the completion of such work in accordance with the performance monitoring system and to client satisfaction.
  4. Utilize the Maximo CAFM system.
  5. Order materials and services as required within agreed delegation level and certify satisfactory delivery/completion.
  6. Monitor trade staff performance, time-keeping, and sickness in accordance with Company Policy.
  7. Provide estimates for quoted works, site measurements, cost control information, and maintain necessary records for effective administration as directed.
  8. Required to undertake training and qualify as Authorised Person and/or Competent Person if required.
  9. Requirement to work with tools as necessary day to day, during emergencies, and supporting staff.
  10. Working 40 hours per week from 8 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday with participation in a call-out rota system to assist the Company in responding to emergency situations.

The Ideal Candidate:

  1. Must hold a recognised electrical or mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3 (theory and practice) in a relevant electrical or mechanical discipline with suitable industry experience.
  2. Will have significant experience in a building services environment with comprehensive mechanical and electrical knowledge ideally within a hospital environment.
  3. Will be a team player ideally with supervisory/management experience.
  4. Will be client-focused with a delivery-oriented and 'can-do' approach to work.
  5. Able to demonstrate knowledge and application of the various trade groups to be managed i.e. building works, mechanical and electrical engineering.
  6. Good communication and customer service skills.
  7. Able to obtain DBS clearance.
