We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team at Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing various sized commercial and retail projects of a construction and refurbishment nature.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day project operations to ensure efficient and profitable project delivery.
  • Monitor and enforce Health and Safety practices and CDM Regulations on site.
  • Attend regular site meetings with clients and other professionals to ensure project progress and satisfaction.
  • Prepare and submit reports, programs, progress, and profitability reports to stakeholders.
  • Pricing and agreeing instructions with clients or their agents.
  • Contribute to formulating valuations and final accounts.
  • Assist in the preparation of tenders and estimates.
  • Procure, negotiate terms, and monitor the performance of sub-contractors and suppliers.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the service provided.
  • Ensure acceptable levels of customer care are maintained at all times.
  • Produce relevant monthly reports for the Director, including cost and value comparisons, turnover forecasts, etc.
  • Contribute to and attend financial and progress meetings.
  • Provide support to the site team to optimize the use of contract resources.
  • Maintain deadlines in line with requirements.
  • Provide cover for other associated staff during times of absence.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Site Manager ready to take the next step.
  • SMSTS certification.
  • Construction-related qualifications, such as HNC/HND or trade-related qualifications.
