Job Title: IT Asset Manager

Job Summary:

Talentbank Technology Partners is seeking an experienced IT Asset Manager to join our team. As an IT Asset Manager, you will be responsible for managing the organization's software and hardware assets, ensuring compliance with vendor contracts, and developing procurement strategies to optimize technology spend.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain databases and records of information such as licenses, service agreements, and warranties for the organization's software and hardware.
  • Ensure compliance with vendor contracts by carrying out effective planning and monitoring and working with hardware assets and software licenses.
  • Develop and implement procedures to track and manage IT assets throughout their lifecycle.
  • Design and maintain processes, policies, standards, systems, and measurements to effectively manage the organization's IT asset portfolio.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure teams to determine trends in asset performance and implement improvements.
  • Perform research on industry best practices and incorporate them into organizational practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of IT software and hardware, with at least five years of experience working as an IT asset analyst.
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and the specific business services it supports.
  • Five years or more experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools, specifically in managing assets.
  • Proven ability and experience in executing strategic asset management processes successfully.
  • Strong knowledge of IT Service Management processes and experience with Discovery tools.
