Staff Nurse Role in Private Hospital

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our team at a prestigious Private Hospital in Kingston upon Thames. As a vital member of our nursing team, you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care to our patients and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Provide outstanding nursing care to patients, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
  2. Collaborate with the nursing and multi-disciplinary team to ensure effective teamwork and communication.
  3. Participate in evaluating nursing policies and procedures, ensuring the highest standards according to current practice.
  4. Understand and practice correct procedures for Fire, Infection Control, CPR, Health and Safety, and Manual Handling.
  5. Attend mandatory training updates annually.
  6. Keep abreast of professional and clinical developments by attending seminars, courses, reading appropriate journals, and participating in nursing research.
  7. Maintain personal and professional development.
Clinical Responsibilities:
  1. Observe clinical policies, procedures, and standards within the ward/hospital.
  2. Report on the condition of patients to the Nurse in Charge and medical staff, receiving and carrying out instructions/assisting as required.
  3. Assess needs, plan, implement, and evaluate programs of care.
  4. Supervise and participate in nursing procedures and treatments to the highest standards according to current accepted practice.
  5. Adhere to the hospital's policy for the storage, ordering, and administration of all drugs and medicines.
  6. Maintain accurate nursing records and ensure comprehensive hand-over reports.
  7. Participate in patients' treatments requiring one-to-one nursing care, providing adequate explanations to the patient.
  8. Ensure nutritional requirements of patients are met, paying attention to special dietary needs, and assisting those patients unable to feed themselves.
Requirements:
  1. A newly qualified registered nurse may be considered.
  2. 6 months continuous post-registration surgical experience.
