Job Description:
We are working exclusively with a medium-sized group based in Mid-Kent, supporting them in their search for a new Head of Finance. Reporting into the Chief Financial Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations, in order to provide insights and commentary to the board.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Manage and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts, ensuring accuracy of all reporting.
- Team Management: Lead a small but effective team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful delivery of financial objectives.
- Financial Reporting: Execute monthly management accounts, providing variance analysis with sufficient commentary to influence business decisions.
- Financial Planning: Develop and implement budget and forecast processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Financial Governance: Ensure the accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations and maintain a high level of financial control.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with non-financial stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements, driving business growth and efficiency.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Formally qualified (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) or QBE with significant experience.
- Leadership Skills: Excellent team player, able to lead from the front and demonstrate an ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
- Technical Skills: Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manipulate data sets to draw relevant and insightful conclusions.
What We Offer:
- Salary: Circa £80,000 per annum.
- Benefits: 25 days holiday + bank holidays, private medical, and discretionary bonus.
