Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Private Client Tax Director to join our Bristol team. As a key member of our Private Client Tax team, you will be responsible for developing relationships and new business opportunities to provide tax and other services to private client individuals.
This is an excellent opportunity to join an expanding team where you will have overall responsibility and accountability for a portfolio of clients. You will be adept at leading and nurturing client relationships, expanding business opportunities within your existing client base and beyond. You will also be responsible for motivating and fostering growth among associate directors, senior managers, and other team members, ensuring top-notch client service while minimizing conduct risk.
Key Responsibilities- Client Advice: Provide strategic and technical advice and guidance to clients on their personal tax affairs.
- Client Liaison: Structure and lead client meetings to ensure information given is up-to-date, clear, and not misleading, meeting the client's needs.
- Team Growth: Promote and build the group's reputation internally and externally.
- Quality Control, Compliance, and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with the group's internal procedures to avoid exposing the group to unacceptable levels of risk.
- Financial Management: Monitor and manage chargeable hours, utilisation, recoveries, WIP, billing, and lock-up for you and your team, ensuring lock-up is kept to a minimum and clients are billed regularly.
- Staff Management & Development: Manage, counsel, and develop your direct reports to maximize their work potential.
- Work under your control and direction: You should be responsible for a client portfolio of at least £500,000 per annum.
- Chargeable hours: You should regularly record at least 900-1,000 chargeable hours per annum.
