We are in search of empathetic and skilled Educators or Tutors to assist looked after children (LAC) throughout Bradford.
As a Tutor with The Education Network, your role will involve conducting individualized and small group tutoring sessions aimed at supporting children and young people in care.
Your responsibilities will include providing academic and social support, enhancing confidence, fostering social skills, and helping students navigate learning challenges to achieve their educational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored tutoring in essential subjects such as English, Maths, and Science, along with other subjects as needed.
- Evaluate students' educational needs and develop customized learning plans.
- Collaborate closely with social workers, caregivers, and educational professionals to track progress and adjust teaching methods.
- Cultivate a positive learning atmosphere and establish strong, trusting relationships with students.
- Prepare students for examinations and assist them in developing effective study techniques.
- Provide progress reports and constructive feedback.
- Support students' emotional health and personal growth.
Requirements:
Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS), PTTLS, or relevant tutoring experience in a similar capacity, ideally with at least a B.Ed, MA, or PhD.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
Capability to work autonomously and manage your own timetable.
Patience, empathy, and a sincere dedication to fostering the success of young individuals.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
