About the Role
Oaklands College is seeking a highly skilled Security & Services Manager to oversee the strategic and operational management of all physical and infrastructure security across our campuses. This role involves managing the security team, control room, access control systems, ID badges, and vehicle parking to ensure the safety and security of our facilities and community.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement security strategies to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
- Lead and manage the security team, providing expert advice and guidance on security best practices and emergency response planning.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to foster a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors.
- Manage access control systems, ID badges, and vehicle parking to ensure secure and efficient operations.
Requirements
- Professional qualification in a relevant subject such as Security and Risk Management.
- Significant experience in a senior security management role, preferably in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of security best practices, risk management, and emergency response planning.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
