We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join our team as a Tax Assistant, providing a unique opportunity to develop their career in Tax and gain experience in US Tax compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process client information to complete a first draft of tax returns
- Make changes to returns based on reviewer comments
- Prepare covering letters to outline tax positions to clients
- Coordinate returns being sent to clients and prepare fees
- Assist with answers to client queries on returns
- Develop professional relationships with clients
- Correspond with HMRC and IRS on general issues relating to clients
- Assist with client onboarding process and preparation of fees for ad-hoc work
About the Role:
This role offers a unique opportunity to work with a wide range of clients, from those with straightforward tax affairs to those with complex positions requiring careful consideration of both UK and US tax legislation.
Initially, you will work on basic returns, and as you build your knowledge, you will become more involved in completing complex returns and assisting in giving tax planning advice to clients.
