Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the teaching staff in delivering engaging and structured lessons.
- Promote an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere.
- Provide individualized support to students with diverse learning needs, including those with SEND.
- Utilize various teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles.
- Support classroom management to ensure a conducive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and prepare educational materials and resources.
- Assist students during activities, assignments, and assessments.
- Maintain effective communication with teachers, parents/guardians, and other staff members.
- Keep accurate records and documentation as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or a related field are preferred.
- Previous experience working with children, especially in a primary school context.
- Experience with children who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Familiarity with the primary school curriculum and effective teaching methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students' learning and well-being.
- Ability to adapt and work collaboratively within a team.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.
- A valid DBS that is registered with the update service.
