Specification Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Specification Technologist to join our team at Kandhu Ltd.
About the RoleThe Specification Technologist will be responsible for coordinating information for new product specifications, updating and maintaining specifications when information is updated, checking new product shelf life from the laboratory and converting them to product specifications and managing deadlines. Ingredient declaration will also be a key part of the role.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate with the Process Technologist to obtain the appropriate factory information to ensure that the correct information is present on the customer specification
- Coordinate with the Planning and Purchasing department to ensure that all raw materials suppliers are correct on specifications and to ensure that Group Technical Services are informed of any new suppliers that are used
- Develop and maintain accurate product specifications, including raw materials and finished product specifications
- Ensure that all specifications are compliant with industry standards and regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that specifications are aligned with business objectives
- Degree or HND in Food Technology or equivalent
- Strong experience in a Specifications Technologist role dealing with a large retail account
- Ability to write both raw materials and finished product specifications
- Strong experience in ingredient declarations
