Job Purpose

The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling chemicals and services across the UK and Ireland, with a focus on maximising sales and meeting budget expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the UK & Ireland Sales Manager and Business Development function to establish and implement sales plans.
  2. Promote the portfolio of chemicals and services to maximise sales and meet budget expectations, while achieving personal and company objectives.
  3. Bear responsibility and accountability for all sales of chemicals within the sales area, including organising and planning sales visits, attending trade exhibitions, conferences, sales meetings, and training as required.
  4. Manage and develop both existing and new sales, performing sales activities on all sales area customer accounts and negotiating sales prices in consultation with the Commercial Manager.
  5. Regularly review progress of sales over the budgeted year and provide sales updates/forecasts on all sales area accounts as and when required.
  6. Implement sales policies, practices, and procedures in line with instruction from the UK & Ireland Sales Manager.
  7. Undertake professional development training to enhance all aspects of the salesperson's role when appropriate.
  8. Some field sales experience in the chemical industry is desirable but not essential.
  9. Business acumen and some commercial experience is desirable.
  10. Clean and current UK driving licence.
  11. Comfortable with the volume of travelling required to cover the territory.
  12. Friendly, efficient customer service attitude both face-to-face and via the phone or online.
  13. Fluent in English, in both verbal and written communication.
  14. Proficient at Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

In return, our Client is offering a competitive salary of c£40,000 per annum basic, plus car, bonus, and benefits.
