Job Summary:

The Product Development Engineer will be responsible for the development and optimization of highly technical alloy components. This role requires deep expertise in engineering materials and manufacturing processes, ensuring that products meet stringent performance criteria.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the Design and Development Process: The Product Development Engineer will lead the design and development of high-performance alloy components, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and operational requirements, and conducting necessary simulations and analyses to optimize product performance.
  2. Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary technical liaison with key account customers, managing communications, addressing technical inquiries, and ensuring that customer expectations are effectively translated into engineering solutions.
  3. Collaboration and Project Management: Collaborate closely with process engineers to ensure product designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality standards, facilitating smooth transitions from design to production. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial concept through to production release, ensuring that all project milestones are achieved on time and within budget constraints.
  4. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure that all products meet or exceed industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer specifications, working in close coordination with the quality assurance team to resolve any issues related to product quality and compliance.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for product enhancements based on customer feedback, production data, and advancements in materials science and manufacturing technologies.
  6. Documentation and Communication: Maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and communication records, while providing regular updates to management and customers on project status and developments.
Candidate Profile:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related STEM field.
  2. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools (e.g., li>
  3. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable:

  1. Experience in a forgings/castings/machined product environment with an understanding of the production and compliance manufacturing processes involved.
  2. Knowledge of aerospace applications and performance requirements.
