NHS Grampian is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Deputy Charge Nurse to assist in leading the nursing team in Loirston Ward. The successful candidate will have professional and managerial responsibility for the ward nursing team, facilitating and providing clinical leadership while ensuring a high standard of person-centered care is delivered to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide clinical leadership and facilitate the nursing team to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Ensure the ward nursing team is well-managed and motivated, with a focus on continuous professional development.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient care and safety.
- Contribute to the development of the ward's strategic plan and objectives.
Requirements:
- Registered Learning Disability Nurse or Registered Mental Health Nurse with current or previous experience in a specialist learning disability setting.
- Caring and compassionate nature, with a genuine interest in working in a specialist learning disability inpatient setting.
- Ability to provide clinical leadership and manage a team of nurses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Keen and motivated to learn new skills and engage in continuous professional development opportunities.
