Senior Quantity Surveyor - Facades

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Tate, a national Construction business based in Uxbridge. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the success of our projects, working closely with clients and subcontractors to ensure profitable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out surveying duties and functions on a range of projects, including high-end residential, high-quality hotels, student accommodation, offices, hospitals, and traditional residential and commercial developments.
  • Develop close relationships with clients and subcontractors to maintain profitable projects.
  • Supervise and manage site and trainee surveyors on various projects.
  • Attend tender handover meetings on secured projects and take responsibility for all relevant cost information.
  • Form contract budgets from tender information, calculating total profit/loss forecasts.
  • Carry out monthly budget monitoring, updating budget for works in progress.
  • Provide interim cost and value reconciliation, monitoring cashflows for projects.
  • Prepare and agree interim Applications for Payment and Final Accounts, all aspects of measurement.
  • Procure subcontractors, including obtaining agreement on rates, measurements, and placing subcontract orders.
  • Prepare and compile subcontract documentation with appropriate orders.
  • Implement subcontract payment controls, evaluating contract works.

Requirements:

  • Experience in quantity surveying, preferably in a senior role.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction software.
