About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at AJ Bell Management Limited. As a key member of our cloud infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining our AWS hosted infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of our services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Management: Contribute to the design, management, and maintenance of our AWS hosted infrastructure, covering our dev, UAT, and production environments.
  • Collaboration and Delivery: Work closely with Technical Leads, Engineers, and testers from project inception to create and implement project deliveries, ensuring timely and successful project outcomes.
  • Research and Development: Be actively involved in exciting new research projects and proof of concepts, driving innovation and improvement in our cloud infrastructure.
  • Problem Management: Identify, analyze, and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum uptime for our services.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Provide internal guidance and support to colleagues regarding AWS best practices, promoting knowledge sharing and expertise within the team.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Support and enable the business to achieve its regulatory requirements, including consumer duty, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • CI/CD Expertise: Expertise in CI/CD using tools such as Jenkins, Git, AWS CodePipeline – build, test, and deploy in an automated pipeline or workflow.
  • Application Stack Management: Experience of delivering and maintaining an application stack on AWS, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Server Configuration: Experience of delivering with Microsoft Windows Server and Linux server configuration and management, ensuring secure and efficient server operations.
  • CDK Frameworks: Knowledge of TypeScript being used for CDK frameworks, ensuring seamless integration with our cloud infrastructure.
