Fire Protection Engineer

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our reputable BAFE accredited Fire Services company. This opportunity arises as a result of our continued growth and expansion.
Role Details:
This position is primarily field-based, with the majority of assignments located within a 50-mile radius of High Wycombe. However, projects may extend nationwide, necessitating a willingness to travel and, if necessary, stay overnight.
Compensation:
£35,000 - £45,000 depending on experience
Company Van and Fuel Card
Working Hours: Until 5pm
Benefits:
- 20 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays
- Pension scheme
- Overtime opportunities
- On-call duty with a £175 standby fee (1 in 3 rotation) without aggressive callout expectations.
- Conduct maintenance on fire alarm systems and undertake small works and commissioning of fire detection and alarm systems.
- Perform emergency light testing alongside fire alarm maintenance across various projects, including those with construction firms, housing providers, and both private and commercial entities.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain high levels of client care through face-to-face interactions, telephone, and email communications.
- Document all activities using company software systems.
- Deliver exceptional support and feedback to a diverse client base.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the fire safety industry.
- Possession of FIA qualifications.
- Experience in commercial projects.
- Proficient in working with Fire Alarms, Fire Extinguishers, Emergency Lighting, and Fire Suppression systems.
- Familiarity with Apollo, Gent, Notifier, and Advanced systems.
- Strong electrical background with experience in fault finding across both conventional and addressable systems.
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Residing in proximity to High Wycombe.
