About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Haematologist to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Haematologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading a team of healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of our Haematology Service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide clinical care to patients with blood disorders and haematological malignancies
- Lead a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care
- Contribute to the development of our Haematology Service, including the design and implementation of new services and initiatives
- Participate in clinical governance and audit activities to ensure high standards of patient care
- Provide teaching and training to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
- Basic medical degree and postgraduate qualification in Haematology
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practice
- CCT in Haematology or equivalent
- Entry onto the GMC Specialist Register or eligibility for entry within 6 months
