Social Care Professional

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Social Worker to join our team at Fevaca, a company dedicated to providing support to children, young people, and vulnerable adults. As a Social Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Contribute to the development and implementation of our internal training package.
- Provide comprehensive support to new staff members, ensuring they complete their induction packs and are fully equipped to perform their duties.
- Offer regular supervision to staff members under your management, promoting their growth and development.
- Protect clients from harm, ensuring their health, welfare, and normal development are safeguarded.
- Empower young people to take control of their lives, supporting them in planning and achieving their goals.
- Prepare and submit regular reports and needs assessments, as well as other relevant documents.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and associated regulations.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with external professionals, including Social Work Teams, Police, Housing, and Voluntary Sector organizations.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Hold a Social Work qualification and be registered with Social Work England.
- Knowledge of the Children Act, Leaving Care Act, and subsequent guidance.
- Experience working with children and young people.
- Ability to supervise and lead other practitioners within the project.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, including report writing and assessment.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and guidance.
- Knowledge of Housing legislation and the process of moving young people on.
- Knowledge of Criminal Justice and young people's experience of this process.
- Knowledge of mental health issues and services that can respond to this need.
- Knowledge of drug and alcohol issues and services that may support clients in this area.
