Accountant - Client Manager Opportunity
Clark Wood is working with a forward-thinking firm of accountants in Exeter who are seeking a professional and personable Accountant / Client Manager to join their expanding team.
As an Accountant / Client Manager, your role will involve working closely with one of the directors and managing a diverse portfolio of clients, including small-medium limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships from various business sectors.
You will be responsible for supervising and assisting junior staff, providing support where necessary, and reviewing their work.
The ideal candidate will be ACCA or ACA Qualified (or Qualified by Experience) with strong and varied general practice experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation and review of Statutory Accounts and Management Accounts
- Preparation and review of tax computations and returns
- Managing a diverse portfolio of clients from various industry sectors
- Supporting partners and clients with bespoke queries and ad hoc project work
- Acting as primary point of contact for clients
- Managing own billing and workload, ensuring timely and efficient delivery while exceeding client expectations
Requirements:
- ACCA / ACA Qualified or Qualified by Experience
- Practice experience essential
- Client management experience preferred
- Experience reviewing work prepared by junior staff
