About the Role:

The Menswear Buyer will play a key part in driving the success of our menswear department, leading the way with new and exciting product. With a deep understanding of our customers, you will be able to secure returning, loyal consumers each season, ensuring all ranges are successful.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the menswear department, driving new product and improving ways of working
  • Review and improve the supply base, introducing new suppliers and streamlining current practices
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies, setting clear and obtainable goals
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers, onboarding new ones and maintaining existing ones
  • Source new fabrics and trims, and plan buys with the merchandiser to build well-balanced ranges
  • Experience with international travel for inspiration and supplier trips, and managing Monday Trade reports and key actions
  • Oversee the wider team, managing critical path and delivery schedule, and preparing for product launches
  • Work with the Senior Leadership Team on business-wide critical paths and key meetings
  • Conduct cross-costing projects to protect margins

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the fashion industry
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review and improve processes
  • Experience with international travel and managing supplier relationships
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail
